History & Leadership
The Dar es Salaam Central Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church was officially established in 2024 as a beacon of spiritual and social influence in the heart of Dar es Salaam’s bustling Central Business District. Born out of the vision and mission of the Mzizima SDA Church, it carries forward a legacy of commitment to spreading the gospel and serving the community.
Mzizima SDA Church, founded in 1998, began as a mobile congregation without a permanent place of worship. Despite this challenge, the church thrived, hosting services in various rented venues and dedicating itself to the Adventist mission. Its members exemplified resilience and faith, building a strong spiritual foundation while reaching out to communities across the city.
Recognizing the growing need for a central hub to enhance its influence and effectiveness, Mzizima SDA Church initiated plans to establish a permanent center of influence. This vision materialized with the founding of Dar es Salaam Central SDA Church, strategically located to serve as a spiritual and community landmark.
Since its inception, Dar es Salaam Central SDA Church has embraced its mission of being a transformative force in the city. Rooted in its heritage and guided by faith, the church continues to grow, welcoming new members and expanding its programs to meet the spiritual and social needs of Dar es Salaam’s diverse population.
